old site

In “the beginning” … before there were blogs the internet was horrible.

You paid alot of cash to have a website built, and then it looked exactly the same for 3 years because updating was expensive, complicated, and almost not an option.

I had a skateboard shop and used to do email blasts. Email blasts are brutal and annoying … its like spam from a friend.

My great friend Jeff built me alonelikeastone.com, and it had a back end that I could update as often as I wanted. Having a shop it was a great way to let customers know what new product the shop had in stock. Plus it kept the Wanderers in the loop.

The word “blog” was not around back then, it was just a web site I could update.

The shop closed years ago, yet I kept the site going.  But now with tumblr, the old site seems just as hard to update as it did in “the beginning”.

Bummer, now I’m a fucking blogger. Suck it.

Below is a link to where it all started… all in a nice archive of every post from that original site Jeff built me.
