entertainment overload.

SO you all know I work a boat load… and a few months ago I decided to treat myself to a new TV and and PS3, not for the gaming, but for the blue ray player. I dislike TV shows, and so, do not watch them, the news makes me sick, plus there are so many other things to do besides watch TV… but I love movies and skateboarding films. SO I get a plasma panasonic bastard… plasma because of the refresh rate, skateboarding is fast, and I don’t want no ghost images, plus I love B+W motion pictures, and plasma handles blacks really well. Where is the post going? oh yeah, the PS3 I bought used at entertainment overload… I shop there alot, and the price was decent.

So when I hook it all up I get to just use the HDMI cable… so nice, 1 cable for sound, video and even the gaming if Joe comes over. Everything is tip top… blue ray is fucking fantastic. Anyhoooo, the other day I decide to get a speaker/ipod dock, winter is coming, its movie time, the dock has a few audio inputs which excites me, cause now its a computer speaker, an ipod dock, and the TV/blue ray sound!!! Yeah me!!! Or so I think, while hooking it up everything works except the sound from the PS3, nothing will come out but feedback and hissing… fark. I unplug all the cords and start fresh, when I notice the PS3 RCA cable is jacked… see below…

So I think cool, I’ll get my receipt and head over to EO and they will switch it up…

its been 3 months, but I only used the HDMI cable the whole time. Plus they have a wall of cables.

The guy won’t switch it up tho … nope… and no one I can talk to but him he says… I explain, I been just using HDMI, and now have speakers and grabbed the PS3 rca cable to get sound and its clearly fucked up…

I have my reciept, he looks at it, nope… he has to “account for it”... account for a cable… a used cable, one of many they have … I had a shop for 8 years, and god damn I replaced shit no one should… I took money out of my own pocket to replace a broken board once… and other times I just replaced shit, like one bearing… that leaves me with 7 good bearings that I can not sell… How do I account for it… I just do… the customer deserves good service and good product… account for it… sweet jesus… no one steals? no way to account for theft? no way to account for a dvd that is used and won’t play? no way to account for my cable if I used it the day I bought the system and brought it back … of course there is.

He says I can buy one for like 10 bucks… no way… I went some where else and paid almost 30… was happy to.

I shop there alot… I have lists of movies and 80% of them I have bought from one of the three entertainment overload joints.

Never mind the people I work for/with, who don’t have much money, I take them there once a week for things and even have them get shoes there… skater shoes brah, 40 bucks, its a good deal, I personally can not buy them there, I have to buy shoes at a skate shop or I can not sleep at night… but for others it is a good deal.

But not no more. I will not step foot in that place ever again. You do what you want, I just needed to get this off my chest… oh and that’s entertainment on Lake street is open later anyways.
